Dermapen

Microneedling is a treatment that causes microtrauma in the skin forcing it to produce and restructure colagen cells, it is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy. It has been a popular treatment due to its effectiveness for a number of years and it used to be done with the use of dermal rollers. This procedure can be rather uncomfortable with a longer recovery time. We now bring to you microneedling with a high end device called Dermapen.

Dermapen is a medically engineered device that utilises 12 surgical grade micro needles to deliver effective skin needling. It stimulates the skins healing response encouraging production of precious growth factors, collagen and elastin for naturally rejuvenated, revitalised and regenerated skin. Dermapen procedures are non-ablative and non-thermal. Treatment may be performed on all skin types reducing any risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or fibrotic scar tissue formation. Results typically can be seen after just one Dermapen treatment, however cumulative treatments may be required to achieve the full desired result. The regenerating process will continue for up to 24 months post-treatment.

The treatment is safe for all ages and skin colour. It is performed by a qualified practitioner under sterile procedures and all treatment consumables are single use and sterile, avoiding cross-contamination. It is virtually painless, you might feel some mild discomfort during the treatment, but it only last about 15min. Your skin might be a bit red up to 2 days after the treatment, but you can resume your normal activities immediately after your treatment.

We can treat a wide range of skin imperfections and conditions such as

  • fine lines
  • wrinkles
  • surgical and trauma scars
  • acne scars
  • stretch marks
  • pigmentation
  • rosacea
  • enlarged pores
  • keratosis pilaris
  • seborrheic keratosis and milia

The result is a younger looking skin that will continually regenerate month after month as the skin’s natural healing process is triggered. Depending on the condition you want to treat, 4-6 treatments every 4 weeks may be needed although you will see results from the very first treatment.
